Training Programes at National Institute of Health Sciences Kalutara, Sri Lanka

national institute of health sciences kalutara Sri Lanka is much famous due to free education and free health policy. All the professionals who works associated with this public sectors trained under different institute and those institute were also governed by Sri Lanka Government. National Institute of Health Science (NIHC) is one of the leading public health training organization which governed by the Ministry of Health ,Sri Lanka. This institute was established in the year of  1926 and located at Kaluthara. This institute is one of the leading public institute who trains professionals on Sri Lankan public medical sector.

Public Health Inspectors (PHI), Midwife, Dispensers, Nursing, Pharmacy and so many professional course conducted at this institute. The main aim of national institute of health sciences kalutara is to develop the manpower of Sri Lankan public health sector. National Institute of Health Science (NIHC)  got experienced 300 staffs who committed for training. National Institute of Health Science is also collebarted with World Health Organization and Public Health Workforce Development.

Department and Training Schools of NIHC

There are four major training centers  at national institute of health sciences kalutara and those centers were named as follows

School of PHI
School of MLT
School of Pharmacy
School of Nursing

Apart from this  training schools this l institute also got two departments such as Department of Educational Science and department of Basic Medical Science which mainly focused on the training of medical professionals in Sri Lanka.
