Sri Lankan Law College Entrance Exam

As I mentioned earlier Sri Lankan Law College entrance exams is one of the most toughest exam in Sri Lanka. you can sit for exam in Sinhala , or English medium . There are a course book which contain the recommend syllabus for this entrance exam and apart of that you need to have general knowledge on law and other social matters arise. However average 250 students are eligible to select to follow the study programme conducted at Law College of Sri Lanka.

 

Entry Qualification for Sri Lanka Law College Entrance Exam

Passes in three subjects at one and the same sitting at the Sri Lanka General Certificate of Education (A/L) Examination under the new scheme.

and

Credit passes in English Language and Sinhala/Tamil Language at the G.C.E.(O/L) Examination.

Duration of Programme

 

Sri Lankan Law College study programme consist 3 years academic training which include practical training course and six months apprenticeship under a qualified lawyer of at least 8 years of experienced in law field.

 

Exemptions

 

For those who successful completed Law Degree at Open University of Sri Lanka, University of Colombo and University of Jaffna got exemptions from First and Second years of LLB examinations conducted by Law college. Those students only need to sit for final exam at Law College and the necessary apprenticeship training to become Attorney at Law.

 

Facilities for Students

 

Students of Sri Lanka law college are also eligible for Mahapola Scholarship porgramme. There are library, computers and hostel facilities available for the students those who follow this programme. the study programme of Sri Lanka Law College is full time course, no person shall be permitted to continue as a student if the student appears to full time employment or full time education. The student who follow Law College study programme should attendant lectures as required rules by Sri Lankan Law College.
