The Buddhist and Pail University of Sri Lanka, established in terms of the Act of Parliament No.74 of 1981 of the Democratic Socialistic Republic of Sri Lanka. The main purpose of this university is to propagation of Buddha Dhamma and to promote Buddhist and pail studies in Sri Lanka as well as aboard. Buddhist & Pail University of Sri Lanka is Government University which governed by the Ministry of Higher Education. This Institute consist two faculties such as Faculty of Buddhist Studies and Faculty of Language Studies. Following are the subjects of studies conducted under the mentioned faculties.
The first under graduate degree programme starts with one year General Arts Qualifying Programme and the General Degree can be completed within two years and the Special Degree can be completed within three years.Following are the all programs (foundation level to Doctorate ) which conducted under this government university.
