Diploma in English for Teachers of English (DETE)
Diploma in English for Teachers of English (DETE) program is specially design for English teachers in Sri Lankan schools to improve their knowledge on English Language.
This diploma program provides comprehensive understanding on basics of English language such as reading, speech, listening and writing.
Apart of the basic language skills advanced grammar on English language are also teacher under this program.
Duration of the Program: Diploma in English for Teachers of English consist Part I and Part II and the teaching hours for this program are 160.
Entrance Qualifications
Since this program targeting English School Teachers a letter from the principal or head of education institute is necessary to get enroll with this program.
There will be selection test to conduct for enter in to the Colombo University English Course : Diploma in English for Teachers of English program.
Diploma in Advanced English for Administration and Academic Purposes (DAE)
This program is targeting student who hot higher knowledge on English language and target to improve their English language skills level for academic and research purposes.
In this program is highly important for those who currently attached to academic, media and newspaper, business documentation and legal industries.
Duration of Program: Two Years (Preliminary Year and Diploma Year)
Entrance Qualifications
Person who obtain Certificate in English for Career or Certificate in English for Law from university of Colombo

Diploma in English for English Medium Instruction Teachers (DEEMIT)
Diploma in English for English Medium Instruction Teachers (DEEMIT) is another English language program which is specially design for teachers to teach English medium in Grade 6 to 11 at schools.
This Diploma program divides in to two parts
Part I: Improve basic language skills such as speech, reading, writing and listing
Part II: practical teaching sessions
