The Faculty of Graduate Studies at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University provides an opportunity to obtain a MBA in Logistics Management . This course is designed in accordance with the Sri Lankan Qualification Framework, published by the Ministry of Higher Education and its academic standard is equivalent to Sri Lanka Qualifying level 8. This MBA is specially designed by a panel of senior academics and professionals from reputed universities/institutions in Sri Lanka ensuring a high academic standard to facilitate participants to complete MBA in Logistics Management. The main objective of the programme is to enhance and develop the knowledge of officers in the tri services, Police and also executives of public and private sector on logistics management and to be competent in civil and military logistics applications.

Entrance Eligibility Qualifications
A person is eligible for admission to the programme of study leading to the MBA Degree in Logistics Management, provided he/she meets one of the following conditions:
He / She is a commissioned officer / gazetted Police officer / public and private sector executive having a bachelor degree with 1stclass from recognized university with minimum of one (01) year of service/work experience.
Or
He / She is a commissioned officer / gazetted Police officer / public and private sector executive having a bachelor degree with 2ndclass from recognized university with minimum of two (02) years of service/work experience.
Or
He / She is a commissioned officer in the rank of Captain / Lieutenant / Flight Lieutenant and above or gazetted Police officer or public and private sector executive having a bachelor degree from a recognized university with minimum of three (03) years of service/work experience.
Or
He / She is a commissioned officer in the rank of Captain / Lieutenant / Flight Lieutenant and above or gazetted Police officer or public and private sector executive with minimum of seven (07) years of service/work experience.
Duration of the MBA in Logistics Management
This postgraduate programme is conducted on Saturdays and Sundays for a period of one/two years. The first year is dedicated for taught course modules and second year is for the research project.
The Medium of Study
Medium of instruction will be in English for this Postgraduate MBA in Logistics Management .
